Dr. Gabriela Soza

Dr. Gabriela Soza is board-certified dermatologist providing comprehensive cosmetic and medical dermatologic care. A native Texan, she brings her southern hospitality to New York City by treating her patients with the utmost level of compassionate and knowledgeable care.  Prior to joining Wexler Dermatology, she practiced at Sadick Dermatology in Manhattan. To Dr. Soza, being a dermatologist offers the chance to build lifelong relationships with patients while addressing all aspects of their dermatological needs.

By utilizing a combination of treatment modalities, Dr. Soza obtains the most desirable outcomes for her patients.

As a cosmetic dermatologist, Dr. Soza believes in aging gracefully. She combines her artistic eye with bespoke treatment plans to achieve and maintain a natural appearance. She is known for her facial revitalization and non-invasive body contouring. By utilizing a combination of treatment modalities, including injectable fillers and toxins, and energy-based devices, such as lasers and microneedling, Dr. Soza obtains the most desirable outcomes for her patients. 

Beyond cosmetic dermatology, Dr. Soza cares for a variety of medical skin conditions, with a particular emphasis on

acne, hair loss, and melasma. During her dermatology training under Dr. Alan Menter and Dr. So Yeon Paek, Dr. Soza became highly proficient in the treatment of complex dermatological diseases, notably psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, and hidradenitis suppurativa. With her expert training and as a recipient of the Outstanding Student in Pediatrics award in medical school, Dr. Soza is passionate about treating patients of all ages and backgrounds. Acutely aware of the emotional, psychological, and systemic health effects of dermatologic disease, she is dedicated to helping her patients look and feel their best.

Dr. Soza graduated from Southern Methodist University in Dallas as an NCAA Division I All-American swimmer with a degree in Biological Sciences. She earned her medical degree from Texas A&M University College of Medicine, where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society and awarded the Glasgow-Rubin Citation for Academic Achievement. Dr. Soza completed both her internship in Internal Medicine and Dermatology residency at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, serving as Chief Resident in her final year. Dr. Soza has authored several peer-reviewed publications, including a chapter in a dermatology textbook, and has lectured nationally to her colleagues. She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery.
