Quick change artist! Christie Brinkley stuns in TWO outfits as she makes promotional rounds in NYC
She shot to fame as a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue model in the 1970s.
But Christie Brinkley can still turn on the star power, as she proved Monday when she blew through two outfits while dashing around New York City.
The 64-year-old cut a chic figure in a striped blouse while heading to interviews on Good Day New York and the Today Show, then sizzled in a green dress and thigh-high white boots at a panel talk on empowering women.
Monday morning, the four-time divorcee was appearing on the Today show in order to promote Authentic Beauty, her line of cosmetics.
When glimpsed outside the studio, she had wrapped up in a navy coat that fell past her knees, and she carried a bulging black handbag.
Christie had buttoned herself into a yellow and white striped top, which she tucked into a pair of skintight black pants with stylish zip hems.
Balancing on black high heels, she accentuated her model features with makeup including a slick of red lipstick, and she wore her luxurious hair down.
After the Today show, the platinum blonde popped over to the restaurant Avra for the Merz Aesthetics Women Empowerment panel.
For this event, Christie chose a full-sleeved flowing split dress, with a slit high enough that when she sat she could show her crossed legs off to full advantage.
The ageless glam icon posed up with businesswomen Debbie White and Randi Zuckerberg, and dermatologist-to-the-stars Dr. Patricia Wexler.
Debbie had pulled on an attractive cocktail dress that featured black straps running down its sides but was otherwise a grainy grey hue.
Randi, whose brother happens to be Mark Zuckerberg, tucked a black top into a glistening multicolored sequined skirt.
Patricia, who among other accomplishments was name-checked in the late Joan Rivers’ stand-up act, raised a flute of bubbly as she posed with the other three ladies.
At the panel, Christie said: ‘I have to constantly be reminding people that my age group matters, that we are relevant, and that we want to be represented.’
Per People, she explained: ‘As an older woman in modeling, I think there is a little bit of a “maybe we can get her at less of a price because she’s an older model.” But I’d like to remind everybody that we are 100 percent as relevant as anyone else.’
She did pay lip service to the rise of Elon Musk’s mother Maye, who at the age of 69 ‘is seriously a top model right now,’ according to Christie.
‘She’s out there with her shock of gray-white hair, just looking gorgeous and striking everywhere she goes. People are really happy to see that.’
Christie said defiantly: ‘We just have to keep on keeping our foot in the door and not let it close on us.’
